As I look at the strength and power of this rock formation...I can almost feel strength pouring forth! The closed in area also is a reminder for me, that in order to renew my strength I must find and take time away from noise and activity...even if only for a few minutes.
Taking time apart and slowing down...are renewing and life enhancing. Let's give ourselves that gift and not get caught up in the culture of do do do!

I am more than song and color!
imagebeautifulfreepictures
Spring is here and bird song is loud and clear! Enjoy! Such fragile and strong creative creatures. I'm not sure what delights me more, your beautiful colors or your unique song. I can get focused on your singing and I forget that you also have the ability to take flight....ahhhhhhhhh what you must see and how it must feel...
Such a small creature yet you are able to see the big picture.
Do remind me, often, that much of what I see has much more context than I can imagine and without the fuller context I should not make judgements or projections. I so easily fall into doing that!
Thank you for your wisdom dear bird..and thank you for the gift of you!

See and hear the beauty around you!

When I'm tired and focusing on negativity...just taking a few minutes to focus on something beautiful lifts my spirits. Hearing birdsong puts an immediate smile on my face! Seek beauty and you will find it.
Thank you beautiful sun drenched rose for your spirit lifting presence!

Alone AND Together...
image:beautifulfreepictures
Thank you for the beautiful light within the darkness. As I was taking in today's news from around our precious Mother Earth, I had to be reminded to take one day at a time..live in the moment...be the Love that you are to all you encounter..and keep trusting God's Love.
When I took some time for quiet and prayer and had a written conversation with Luv, the above is what I received.
My concern is that we will slip into an "us" and "them" view of things. We're not in Japan so we don't have to worry! We have to take care of us. I truly believe that Mother Earth is trying to show us that we are One Family. We are in challenging times and we need each other. The gifts and talents of all our sisters and brothers, SHARED, will move us forward and help us to grow.
Let's reconnect with family, neighbors, our community and share with them what we can as needed.
When I was in El Salvador with a group visiting our "Sister Parish", we came to a walking bridge with narrow planks and large spaces in between. Below was a polluted river! The bridge connected the two parts of the parish that we were visiting.
I have Cerebral Palsy and balance can be a problem. I wanted to follow the group but was not sure of my ability to cross over the wide spaces! Two members of the group offered their assistance, each one taking an arm. Together we safely crossed to the other side of the bridge. I have never forgotten that day as I learned a powerful lesson. What I can't do ALONE... We can do TOGETHER!
As I was about to close this post I was gently reminded that the sunset above, would not be as beautiful without the llight and the dark.. alone...and together!!

Water...and Japan
image:beautifulfreepictures
Like this beautiful bird we all need safe clean water to live and thrive. Our sisters and brothers in Japan are at risk...for clean water. Tomorrow at noon folks around the globe will be praying for clean and safe water for all in Japan. Please join us if you can. With all of our energy gathered toward healing.. we can make an impact.

Daily nourishment...
image:beautifulfreepictures
"Sight is meant to nourish us...
What do we look at?
Hearing is meant to nourish us...
What do we listen to?
Unless we seed the soul with beauty
we cannot possibly live beautiful lives!"

We share space..
image::AtoZAnimals
There was a recent discussion about the increase of Coyotes present in Rhode Island and a concern for pets and young people playing out doors. I understand the genuine concern, however, I think what also needs to be addressed is the fact that the increase in Coyote presence stems from the destruction of Coyote's habitat.
When each of us has our space and that space is honored and respected fear of each other's presence can be greatly lessened. As we destroy forests in order to build...we are destroying Coyote's home. AtoZ animals named humans as the first predator of Coyote followed by bears and wolves.
Can you look into the eyes of this beautiful being and tell him/her that they have no right to exist...that we as humans are more important? The gifts of ALL beings are needed to keep the Web of Life vibrant and healthy. What could we do that would honor the needs of both Coyote and human here in Rhode Island?
