I tend to forget that the gift of seeing Earth in all her beauty came only a few years ago!
With the gift of technology, NASA and the Astronauts, gave us the first picture of our Home.
For the first time we could see the beauty and expanse that we are part of. My Mom and Dad never had this opportunity.
How many of our Ancestors would have loved to see what we now see and often take for granted.
What fascinated me when I first looked at Earth's picture, was the lack of boundaries. I was seeing one beautiful round WHOLE without separation. How can we not believe that we truly are One Family?
The same thing with the beautiful blues of water.. with all our names for oceans, rivers, ponds and streams, water is one. One water with many names... Wow!! I chuckle now as I realize that I truly thought that Atlantic Ocean had to be separate and apart from Pacific Ocean! Not so..! Water is one, with many names. This helps me to also understand that to pollute water any where has the capacity to pollute water everywhere.
How often we've heard one picture is worth a thousand words, and we have been gifted with a picture. For the first time, we can now see what so many have written about for so long!
