Valued or Used!!

How much more can Mother Earth endure before we stop taking Her for granted? We have been given a priceless gift! Will we treat her like the jewel she is or take the consequences of using her as an exploitable resource?

The choice is ours...?

Thomas Berry's words speak clearly of the choices facing us! " All human institutions, programs and activities must now be judged by the extent to which they inhibit, ignore or foster a mutually enhancing human-Earth relationship."

One of my pleasures!!

Enjoying the beauty of Mother Earth at The Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming!! I was absolutely thrilled when I saw the print of this picture. It seemed to capture even more than what I had focused on..!! Thank you Mystery of Life.

Key question..?

What brings you pleasure? Take 15 minutes and write about what brings you pleasure. Then ask yourself, when was the last time you did any or all of the pleasures you wrote about? I did this exercise as a participant in a woman's healthy eating class last year, and I was surprised and challenged.

Beauty that refreshes!!

I couldn't resist putting in one more of my photo's. This was taken at Beavertail State Park in Jamestown, Rhode Island. The land was formerly owned by the US Navy. Exquisite views of the New England coast line. This is beauty that refreshes and renews one's total being!! Pray, that somehow the oil spill can be contained, as the ramifications put more and more Beings in peril. May this situation, open our eyes and our hearts to our interdependence with all Beings!! We are witnessing the truth of: "What we do to Mother Earth we do to ourselves!!

In my own back yard..!

Finally, here is one of my own pictures.. taken at what is called the "Surfer's Beach" here in Middletown, RI. It was with my camera that I began to be more and more aware of the beauty in my own back yard. What I particularly love about this picture is capturing the texture and imprints in the sand. What elegance we have before us on a daily basis, when we take the time to notice!!
